Training & Development Chefs required. A fantastic opportunity for Chefs with strong leadership and training skills to join the team at this well-known restaurant group with in excess of 100 outlets. Two Chefs are required to work across two different brands. Working within a defined area - both approx. from Watford across the South. Ideal Chef candidates will have held a Senior position, at least Sous Chef, and be able to demonstrate patience and effective leadership skills with the ability to integrate into teams to quickly understand skill levels and to understand what methods and tact to take to ensure that colleagues know what is expected of them and where training is required. Cross-functional communication will also be key to ensure that menu execution and food cost are clear defining performance indicators. A definite advantage will be if you are already a Chef with a mentoring role across a number of outlets. There are extensive growth plans for this group over the next 2-3 years and it is vital that their strong brand values are up held. Working closely with the Group Development Chef based at Head Office your input to new menu ideas will be welcome, your intimate site knowledge will be valuable; you will be able to advise what will work and what will prove a challenge. Accountable for working with suppliers visiting regularly, setting quality levels. There will also be a fair amount of paper / computer work, therefore a degree of computer literacy is essential. Your passion for food first and foremost must be unquestionable.
